How does near Field Communication Enable Contactless Payments?
Near Field Communication (NFC) enables contactless payments by allowing a secure, short-range wireless “handshake” between a customer’s device and a payment terminal. The process is defined by several key technical and security features:

This close-proximity design ensures that transactions only occur when a customer intentionally brings their card or device near the reader, preventing accidental scans.
